About Deanna H. Snitzer, DDS
Dr. Deanna Snitzer’s goals are to build lifetime relationships with her patients and to create healthy, beautiful smiles. She learned this commitment to the care of people at an early agesince she comes from a family of dentists! Dr. Snitzer is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. She received her undergraduate degree from Boston University and her DDS from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry. After graduating from dental school Dr. Snitzer was a dentist for the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma. She moved to Colorado and was a managing dentist in a private practice before joining Colorado Advanced Dentistry in 2012.
She is passionate about providing the highest quality of dental care. Her belief is that the use of state-of-the-art tools and technology will improve oral health for future generations to come. Dr. Snitzer comes from a family of dentists, where she learned that the best foundation for a beautiful smile is a healthy periodontal condition. For this reason, she has made the treatment of gum disease and other gum problems a primary focus of her practice. Dr. Snitzer is trained in LANAP laser gum therapy, perhaps the most innovative gum therapy available today. Additionally, Dr. Snitzer was one of the first dentists in Colorado to offer the Pinhole Surgical Technique for gum recession. Dr. Snitzer has completed hundreds of Pinhole Gum Surgery cases and is also a Pinhole Lecturer with the inventor of the procedure!
Dr. Snitzer believes to best serve her patients she must constantly stay abreast of new advances in dental technology and techniques. She believes that her DDS degree marked the start, not the end, of her ongoing dental education. Her research on Cone Beam Computed Tomography has been published in The American Association of Dental Research Journal.
Dr. Snitzer lives in Wheat Ridge, Colorado with her husband, Alex (a scientist at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center), and their dogs, Tessie and Iggy, and parrot, Neville (whom she usually refers to as “the zoo”.) Dr. Snitzer is an avid sports fan, enjoys skiing, hiking, music and reading.
